Chief Administrative Officer

The Chinook Foundation is accepting applications for a Chief Administrative Officer to work under the direction of the Board to oversee all seniors housing operations of Chinook Foundation including lodges and seniors’ self-contained housing in Cardston County.
The successful candidate will be an effective leader who embraces the values and culture of Chinook Foundation. He or she will also have training and/or proven experience in the following key areas:
· Post-secondary degree and/or 5 years’ experience in management or administration.
· Previous experience providing quality housing to seniors would be an asset
Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to empower, motivate, and inspire, including inspiring change when needed.
Exceptional English language writing skills including the ability to write policy.
· Financial planning, strategic planning, and budgeting skills.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and complete accountabilities on time.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage records properly.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively resolve conflict in a diplomatic, respectful, confidential, and professional manner.
· Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, residents, board, stakeholders, local and provincial government, and the public.
Strong computer skills and facility with a variety of technologies.
Duties will include
Board liaison/governance.
Accounting, budgeting and payroll/human resources duties.
Support for and supervision of site managers.
Overseeing maintenance, upgrading of buildings, and potential capital projects.
Reporting and accountability to the Alberta Government and to licensing and accrediting bodies.
Policy development and implementation.
Media and advertising.
Starting Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and education
